Lightspeed and Commonwealth Bank Partner to Bring Point-of-Sale App to Australian Retailers

Lightspeed, a retail point of sale management software company, has partnered with Commonwealth Bank of Australia to bring its point-of-sale app to thousands more inventory-based retailers across the country.

This partnership will allow retailers to connect Commonwealth Bank's Albert payments tablet with Vend (now Lightspeed) on their iPad, Mac or PC to accept payments and make sales on-the-go. The payment data will automatically sync between the two platforms, eliminating manual errors.

Vend's Register app provides advanced retail tools such as inventory management, analytics and customer loyalty, which will be available to Albert users through this partnership.

Claire Roberts, CommBank's SME business banking executive general manager, said the partnership demonstrates the bank's commitment to providing leading-edge technology to its customers.
